THE CREDENTIAL of the trails

Once upon a time, pilgrims who got ready to start a long trail got a "safe pass" which included the aim of the travel he was going to start.
Nowadays, hikers and pilgrims use the "credential" or "passport" in which they can collect the stamps of the locations they go through during the trail. The credential attests the hiker's identity, the place of departure and the destination of the trail, so he can be told from simple tourists.
Keep the hiker's credential is also an undelible memory, a unique emotion to see the tiring trail again.

- This credential attests that the owner is following the Salt Trails (Old Way of Salt, Old Sea Route or Piacentina Route);
- it gives evidence of the path followed: hikers can ask accomodation facilities staff (hotels, cafes or stores) to stamp on the credential and put the date of arrival;
- it facilitates access to accomodation facilities for hikers.
pins

Many trails and pilgrim ways have their own shield; hiker pin it in plain sight on his backpack, giving evidence to the journey that he has taken.
For the Salt Trails we have created a pin that distinguishes these trails.
By exposing the pin, you give evidence to your journey along the Salt Trails, and you also allow the promotion of these ancient Ways: an informal invitation to discover our amazing territories and to support local tourism.
